William Kinney is an expert on financial accounting and auditing. He is currently the editor of The Accounting Review, one of the most prestigious journals in the field, and he has set on the boards of numerous journals, panels and commissions. He is also currently a member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board Advisory Council.
Professor Kinney is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Deloitte and Touche/American Accounting Association John R. Wildman Award in 2006.
He received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University
