Prior to his time at UT Austin, Matt served as the Technical Director and Resident Designer for the Theatre Department at Angelo State University. Along with his career in academia, Matt continues to work as a freelance designer and programmer. The majority of Matt's freelance work includes lighting design, projection design, and media server programming. Matt has worked with companies including: Paramount Films, Fuse Entertainment, High End Systems, Stagecraft Institute of Las Vegas, Staging Solutions, The REP St. Louis, Long Beach Ballet, Sea World, Base Entertainment, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and Austin Opera.
