Marilyn M Pattillo
Marilyn Pattillo taught the first post Sept. 11 Disaster Nursing course in the country. Her teaching interests include gerontology, adult health nursing, disaster nursing, advanced health assessment and long-term care. She is a retired U.S. Air Force military officer who serves as deputy commander for Central Region National Nurse Response Team (NNRT). The group is an integral part of the National Medical Disaster System, which is mobilized in times of disasters. She has more than 20 years volunteer experience with the American Red Cross and has taught multilple classes on disaster preparedness and the role of health care providers in the event of bioterrorism attack.
