John Daly teaches in both the Moody College of Communication and the McCombs School of Business. He has published more than 120 scholarly articles and produced twelve books. He served as President of the National Communication Association and served on the Board of Directors of both the International Customer Service Association and the International Communication Association. He has worked with hundreds of organizations worldwide including Apple, Amazon, Google, Southwest Airlines, Marriott, Merck, Pfizer, Goldman Sachs, Shell, ExxonMobil, and Boeing as well as with many Federal, state, and local government organizations including the White House. His work with these firms focuses on communication effectiveness, social influence, teamwork, leadership, crisis management, and dispersed teams. He has authored numerous books including Advocacy: Championing Ideas and Influencing Others and The Handbook of Interpersonal Communication.
