Jennifer Maedgen is a senior associate vice president in the Division of Campus and Community Engagement. In that role, she has oversight responsibility for the auxiliary units in the division (Hogg Foundation for Mental Health, University Interscholastic League, University of Texas Charter School System) as well as those relating to access at the University (Center for Access and Restorative Engagement and Disability and Access). She also serves as the University ADA/Section 504/EIR Coordinator, and as chief of staff for the division, supervising communications, IT, HR, and finance. Maedgen received her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California Los Angeles and her master's and doctorate in clinical psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, where she worked in children's rehabilitation, adult/child neuropsychology, and forensic settings. She served as an assistant professor of clinical psychiatric medicine and director of the Learning Needs and Evaluation Center at the University of Virginia for several years. In addition to her administrative roles, Maedgen has taught courses on critical thinking, psychological assessment, and disability, as well as published articles and book chapters on issues relating to attentional disorders and disability accommodations. She is a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas.
