Ioannis (Yannis) Stamatopoulos is an associate professor of information, risk, and operations management for The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. He teaches experiential classes in operations management and studies technology and operations, revenue management, and public policy.

His research has been published in Science, Operations Research, Management Science, Marketing Science, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, and Production and Operations Management. It has been discussed in The New York Times, The Associated Press, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, Forbes, and NPR.

Stamatopoulos graduated with a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Athens and earned an M.A. in economics from Northwestern University. He received a Ph.D. in operations management from Northwestern University.
