Ethan Burris studies dispute resolution, decision making, organizational behavior and learning. His recent research projects focus on issues surrounding employee "voice" in the organization, for which he was been awarded several research excellence grants at McCombs. He has recently commented on such topics as managing one's manager, and why employees are afraid to speak up. His article "Debunking Four Myths About Employee Silence," appeared in the Harvard Business Review (2010). Other research examines the influence of leaders' inner circle on group performance, as well as issues surrounding negotiation. Burris took his Ph.D. at Cornell University.
