Samuel D Gosling
Sam Gosling is a Professor in the department of Psychology. He has published broadly on the topics of personality in human and non-human animals. His non-human research has examined dogs, cats, chimpanzees, hyenas, and squid. His human research has looked at how personality is manifested in everyday contexts like bedrooms, offices, webpages, music preferences, and social-media; this latter work is described in his book, Snoop: What Your Stuff Says About You. His is the recipient of the American Psychological Association's Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution and was recently identified as one of the most highly cited researchers in the world.
