George Sylvie has spent a quarter-century in journalism -- as a reporter, editor, columnist, editorial writer and educator. He is co-author of MEDIA MANAGEMENT: A CASEBOOK APPROACH and has co-authored a soon-to-be published book, TIME, CHANGE & THE AMERICAN NEWSPAPER. Both texts are published by Lawrence Erlbaum Associates. His latest research involves newspaper reporter satisfaction and newspaper web site economics, but he has published work on coverage of minority political candidates, real-time newspaper writing, the impact of various technologies on management and interdepartmental cooperation in newspapers. He teaches courses in media management, advanced reporting, media and minorities, and feature writing.
