Diana DiNitto, Ph.D., is Cullen Trust Centennial Professor in Alcohol Studies and Education and University Distinguised Teaching Professor at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. She is the author of "Social Welfare: Politics and Public Policy" and co-author of "Chemical Dependency: A Systems Approach " and "Social Work: Issues and Opportunities in a Challenging Profession." She currently serves on the Encyclopedia Update Committee of the National Association of Social Workers, the Commission on Educational Policy of the Council on Social Work Education and the Board of Directors of the Texas Research Society on Alcoholism.
