Stephen T Limberg
Professor Limberg worked as a tax professional with Arthur Andersen & Co. before earning his Ph.D. at Arizona State University in 1982. After completing his doctorate, he joined the Graduate School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. A winner of teaching awards in excellence and innovation, he was promoted to full professor in 1993 and named the PricewaterhouseCoopers Centennial Professor in 1994. In 1996 he was a visiting professor at Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Professor Limberg has a special interest in international taxation and his research pertains to the impact of tax laws on business decisions. His most recent projects pertain to the strategic and compliance implications of Brazil's new transfer pricing regulations, which are modeled after the U.S. and OECD transfer pricing guidelines. He is published in both professional and academic journals, including articles in "Contemporary Accounting Research,"; "National Tax Journal,"; "The Accounting Review,"The Journal of the American Taxation Association,"; "The Journal of Taxation,"; "The Energy Journal--Energy Economics,"; "The Tax Adviser,"; "The Journal of Partnership Taxation ," and "The Journal of Real Estate Taxation."
