Ross has authored more than 75 peer-reviewed articles on aging, health disparities and the sense of personal control, and has earned continuous funding since 1994 from the National Institues of Health. She has served as an associate editor or consulting editor for journals including Social Psychology Quarterly, American Journal of Sociology, American Sociological Review, Journal of Health and Social Behavior, Sociological Quarterly, and Journal of Marriage and the Family.
