Lori Holleran Steiker is an expert in substance use prevention and addiction recovery. She has published extensively on substance abuse prevention interventions and cultural adaptation. Her research also covers the areas of dissonance-based substance abuse interventions, the bridge between prevention and treatment, decisional balance dialogues with youth, addiction recovery. She is a co-founder and board member of University High School, Austin's first university-based recovery (sober) high school.
